You're a kid in Baltimore, outside on a hot summer night. While your peers discuss games and gang violence, you space out and stare up at the stars... You secretly fantasize about inventing starships at NASA to travel to alien worlds, and dream about starting a tech company. You snap out of it and come back to Earth.You remember some people around you plot to harm you. Plus, Mom is in a mental hospital, and Dad is in prison. They love you, but can't protect you. What do you do?You become your own hero. While still a kid, Emmanuel Cephas, Jr. made contact with NASA. Then he rescued his siblings, and himself, by getting them all emancipated. Next, he went to Frostburg State University, and then the University of Maryland. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in computer science and physics.After being one of the nine individuals selected at NASA to receive an award from Dr. John Mathers, a Nobel Prize in Physics laureate -- Emmanuel sensed that the time had come. Inspired by this recognition, Emmanuel fulfilled his dream by establishing Human Storm, his own technology company.He brought his dream to life. Now, he wants to help you bring your dreams to life using multi-disciplined software engineering skills.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Frostburg State University.His notable achievements include:Award-Winning Leadership: Recognized with awards such as the 2014 Baltimore Social Innovation Journal Winner, 2014 Outstanding Leader Award (Maryland Black Mayors Inc.), and 2014 Rising Hope Award (Black Professional Men Inc.), 2004 National Black Engineer of the Year Award for Student Leadership.Innovation and Excellence: Semifinalist for Accelerate Baltimore (2014), Nominee for the White House Champion of Change Award for Technology Inclusion (2013), and BMe Leadership Award Winner (2013).Academic and Research Contributions: Recipient of the John Mather Nobel Scholar Award, selected as one of only nine individuals within NASA to receive this prestigious honor from NASA Nobel Prize Winner, and co-author of a physics research paper on applying network theory to applied physics research.Community Engagement: Presented, "Not Ritalin - Unlocking the Math Genius in Hyperactive Children" at Ignite Baltimore.Emmanuel's technical skills span a wide range of programming languages, frameworks, databases, and platforms, including NodeJS, JavaScript, C#, Java, Python, Perl, C++, ReactJS, Firebase, MongoDB, MySQL, and many others.
